This restaurant is consistently ranked among the top dining establishments by Trip Advisor. Coastal Living has rated Russell’s one of SC’s top ten “seafood dives” repeatedly – but don’t let “dive” give the wrong impression.

Yes, Russell’s is rustic; the building is a veritable Murrells Inlet museum. A wealth of photos is punctuated with fascinating “items of interest.” But Russell’s fame is in the kitchen.  Seasoned staffers consistently turn out top-notch dishes. And folks notice. Grand Strand Magazine featured Russell’s in their 2018 Food and Wine issue, with glowing reviews for their Grouper Creole, a frequent item on the specials board.  For light dining, the menu offers appetizers, salads, and in-demand soups and chowders. Discover a new favorite in Russell’s smoked fish dip. The burgers are superior. And, oh my … the seafood! Fried seafood platters, grilled grouper, super catches of the day … it’s always difficult to choose. If Hog Fish is available, order it. Ditto the blackened grouper over cheese grits. Steaks – even a simple hamburger steak – are mouthwatering. We love the cheese potatoes.  Enjoy sweeping inlet views from almost every seat in the house or from the shaded deck. Family-owned and operated for more than twenty years, this cozy restaurant is a landmark.  Staffers are experienced, professional and attentive. Russell’s team members work hard to guarantee a superb experience for each and every guest. Many of the staffers socialize with one another away from the job – they’re more like friends and family than co-workers! The camaraderie creates a pleasant atmosphere that makes the Russell’s experience even more enjoyable. In the friendly bar, locals and newcomers mingle –good times are even better at Russell’s!  Known for its character and its characters, fresh seafood and steaks, Russell’s is a favorite hang-out and a place you’ll remember. Great Live Oaks shade the outdoor deck, faces are friendly, and the atmosphere is casual. There’s a convenient ramp for those who can’t take the stairs, too. This is a very popular place – even more reason to arrive early! Locals, visitors, families, golfers, bikers – folks from all walks of life love Russell’s. Visit soon and you’ll join their fan base. Please let someone know their friends at Lowcountry Companion sent you. Chances are, we might see you there.
